Nurturing lives through local bio-dynamic food
Our Purpose is to educate our community about how food is grown, harvested, prepared and preserved. We do this by providing locally grown fresh biodynamic vegetables to families in need to celebrate self sufficiency and honor community.
The Feeding the Families Program began in 2009 providing 22 weeks worth of vegetables to six low- income families in Fort Collins. The program expanded in the 2011 season to allow 18 wonderful families, which included 106 people, the opportunity to join the Friends of HHF community. One of our goals for the 2012 season is to support 20 to 25 families with fresh delicious vegetables from the farm. Another goal is to develop and implement the educational component of the program with a calendar of workshop opportunities focused on a variety of food related topics. Please join us in celebrating healthy food production by donating or becoming a Sponsoring Partner. |
